Maybe it’s just me, but Pepper sort of reminds me of the Mona Lisa
Pepper is a little anxious but willing to pose for Mom. He looks beautiful and is giving you love and the rare gift of trust 🙂
He really has gotten to the point where he is willing to try things, and that is a relief!
Pepper is such a sweetie! I see what you mean – calm and a little secretive perhaps.
He is a sweet little fella yes, and definitely calm and secretive! He likes to hide out under the dinning room table… just waiting quietly for a crumb to fall or for a hand to reach down and give him a little scratch. Wishing you a great week Cathy 🙂

I have one very shy kitty. It’s taken a long time to bring her around, but we now have lovely exchanges of head butting and she sends out a lovely purr. Their is nothing like earning an animal’s trust.

We have a complaint – why only once a year?! Pepper certainly has the smile down pat.
I agree! He is such a handsome little guy, but he has such an extreme distate for the camera (and the brush) that most every photo I have of him is a big blurr as he dashes away. I think this time went really well though and i’ll keep gently trying to bring him around!

Actually, I find Pepper’s warm brown eyes far more beautiful and soulful than the Mona Lisa’s. I wonder what Pepper is thinking at this very moment…?
Hello Tai! Right at that very moment… I think he was calculating if he should dash off to his right or dash straight into my lap. He really loves the cannonball approach to cuddling 🙂

Oh Pepper, you are so dreamy. Mona has nothing on you at all. Are you resting on someones leg Pepper? You’re so good at photographing your sweet pals Kathryn, but I don’t think Pepper could take a bad photo, EVER! xo
We love collies, which is obvious whenever you visit our blog. But while collies are our chosen breed, I love all dogs, and have to stop and say hello to any dog I happen to meet, I love that you have such an assortment of canines living with you. You don’t care what shape or size the canine comes in, you just love them all. And I think you are awesome, and someday, we will have another mixed breed/shelter dog too.
I wish you would tell us each dog’s story, how they came to find you, and what their personalities are like! (if you have the time, I know we would all enjoy learning more about these sweet souls.)
