It really is a beautiful setting, especially right now after the heavy rains, all of the plants around the pasture have grown up so high. It’s also the time of year that turtles start showing up, and they are so neat to come across!
Yes, the eyes say it all. Loving, gentle and waiting. Waiting for a pet, ear scratch and a conversation. I have a real soft spot for Sheperd’s. When we were kids, good friends had Wynette. She was named for Tammy Wynette. Then my brother adopted Rambo. He was so, so smart. My dad dog-sat when my brother relocated for a few years. We just loved him so much.
I can remember all the dogs I knew as a kid too… they were the most special friendships I ever had 🙂 Moonlight is a special old guy, we can only guess at his past, but are really just so happy that he is here now, and able to feel safe and relaxed and live out his golden years with a free soul.
I am glad you found us again! We’ve been following along with your journey…. and what a journey it has been too. It looks like you living at a really beautiful lush property yourselves now, and I just love to see all the happy photos you put up 🙂
Oh he’s just so refined..i have a huge soft spot for shepherds and his face says it all…he is just happy to be alive free rested and loved …what more could any of us want 🙂
