I always smile when I see that too. Christmas is deaf, and she really likes to keep tabs on EVERYONE at all times… so she parks herself in which ever doorway is seeing the most action and just waits to see who comes in and who goes out. When she gets tired she will sleep in the doorway so that whoever wants to pass has to touch her and wake her up first. It’s really beautiful. She sleeps on that step all the time, and everyone is so careful how they wake her. 🙂
